Blue de Gênes ist ein Dänisches Denim Label, dass seine Inspiration von den Ursprüngen der Jeans nimmt: die Geschichte der Jeans begann vor mehr als 400 Jahren in Genua, Italien. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt nutzten die Hafenarbeiter in Genua ein robustes Material für Kleidung und Segeltuch, bekannt unter dem Namen "Geanes fustian", was aus Arabischer Baumwolle. Dieses Material wurde mit Indigo blau gefärbt und war durch seine Robustheit prädestiniert für den harten Arbeitseinsatz im Hafenbereich.
